An educational leader can use a blog in many ways. It can be used to relay information and
interact with parents, students, and teachers.
The leader can post important items and can quickly answer questions
about the items. The leader can also use
a blog to interact with administrators all over the world. The leader can use this interaction to gain
ideas to help solve issues that are facing the school. The leader can also use this interaction to
gain insight on best practices that are used in other schools.
I have to be honest that, at first, I dreaded making a blog. It just seemted too "techy" for me. But after really using this, ideas started taking shape in my head like the ones that you mention. I teach an English class, and the kids would rather rip their eyes out than to have to write in a journal. But put them in front of the computer, and you can't get them off of it. I have bitten the bullet and decided that my kids will keep a blog instead of a journal. They will be using technology, and I've "tricked" them into learning. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on having a blog. I don't think that I had ever even read a blog before creating this one, but I do see the value and I would like to find a way to use it in my geometry class.
